With a genuine life long passion for preserving animals, backed up by over a decade of academic qualifications and practical training in Wildlife Science, identical twin sisters, Bridget and Sophie Thomson, have quickly become two of Australia’s most sought after animal handler/rescuers & reptile relocators.

Identical twin sisters Bridget & Sophie Thomson spent their entire childhood surrounded by native Australian wildlife on their family property in Ballina on New South Wales’ North Coast.

Growing up so close to the bush and inspired by their hero and idol, the late Steve Irwin, the girls discovered their passion for protecting wildlife of all kinds and became conservationists from a very young age .

Building on a lifelong dream, Bridget studied and obtained a Wildlife Science degree at the University of Queensland while also completing training to become a professional snake handler. Her rapport with reptiles grew all so much stronger, leading both girls to obtain licenses and start their own wildlife relocation service.

During the same time, Sophie who has a strong affinity for dogs, became proficient and established as a dog trainer. Her belief that dogs can help protect and teach humans about native fauna is still alive and today she continues to care for a number of dogs including Dingoes, which both girls hand-raised from only 4-weeks old.

The girls, now known as ‘The Wildlife Twins’ have frequented local schools for years with their live shows, educating a younger generation about the importance of wildlife conservation in Australia and hope that one day their unique approach to nature and storytelling will help them share this message with the world.
